Automatic brewing control
A microprocessor-controlled, programmable water flow meter automatically measures the amount of water used for an espresso shot. Just push the brew button and the pump will infuse the right amount of water, then stop automatically based on your preferences. Set the control to one of 12 preset brewing volumes, from 0.75 ounces to 6 ounces. The auto control also monitors the water's heat and keeps it within 2 degrees of optimum brewing temperature.

Flush-mounted, touch-sensitive buttons and a control knob let you brew and steam with ease. Program the machine, then press the single or double cup brew button. Adjust the strength of the shot by altering the amount of water.

The large boiler size of the SL 70 lets you froth enough milk for two cappuccinos in just 40 seconds. The stainless steel steam wand swivels to accommodate pitchers up to 20 ounces in size. Everything you need for perfect espresso
The SL 70 includes a heavy-duty portafilter. The portafilter is the removable part of the machine that holds the espresso and is inserted into the machine for brewing. Made from chrome-plated brass with a plastic handle, this portafilter features a retaining clip that keeps the filter basket locked inside when you're dumping used grounds. Also included is a pressurized 53mm stainless steel filter basket that ensures the proper amount of pressure is applied to the espresso during brewing. Finally, the SL 70 includes a coffee tamper, which you should use to level the grounds inside the filter basket before brewing.
Using espresso pods? No problem!
Included with this machine is a special espresso pod filter basket, designed to hold a single pod of espresso. Just place the pod inside the filter basket, put the filter basket into the portafilter, and insert in the machine. Pods are available for purchase from many coffee retailers and are a super-easy, clean way to brew.
